He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given. - Proverbs 19:17

As stated in our mission, Creative Minds Academy strives for a community in which parents and teachers are active in the development of each student and take part in their care.  We believe that part of this care is teaching children at an early age to be charitable.  That is why we engage in several community outreach programs instilling good moral values and teaching the importance of helping others.

Not only does this help them realize the importance of taking care of those who are less fortunate, but it also helps them develop a good appreciation for how fortunate they are.  Teaching children about charity and the importance of giving early in life, will help them grow into adults who have respect and empathy for other people as taught in the Bible. In addition to teaching them important life lessons, charity can also help children feel good about themselves.

Throughout the year, we participate in several local and national charitable events, raising money, foods, and gifts for children and their families such as:

St. Jude’s Walk-A-Thon
Salvation Army Angel Tree
Wolfson’s Children’s Toy Drive
Second Harvest Food Harvest
American Red Cross Blood Drive
St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital

Not only do we believe in giving with money, but also with time. After all, sometimes the most important thing you can give another person is just a little bit of your time.

A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor. - Proverbs 22:9
